Ghostbusters

Absolutely dire

(Edit) 03/01/2022

This has miserably failed the test of time. Zero plot even by the standards of the genre at the time and extremely uncomfortable to watch the Bill Murray character’s sexual predation and harassment of the leading female.

Wouldn’t and couldn’t be made now and we should all be grateful for that.

Mediterraneo

Lovely to look at

(Edit) 21/08/2021

Beautiful looking film for those who are missing the blue sky and warmth of the Mediterranean. In no way is this deserving of an Oscar, but it’s an enjoyable way to spend a few hours on a rainy Sunday afternoon.

Fisherman's Friends

Gentle viewing

(Edit) 06/06/2020

A cliched, formulaic, peril-free Sunday afternoon film. Not as good as others of it’s ilk,  but Daniel Mays and James Purefoy are enjoyable. If you’re in the mood for this type of thing sit back and enjoy.

Straight to Hell

What an absolute turd of a film

(Edit) 22/03/2020

Shrieky infantile drivel, clearly enjoyed way more by the cast than any other human could possibly manage. Thinks it’s clever, it isn’t.

The Mummy

Don't. Just don't.

(Edit) 27/04/2018

Diabolical. Don't do it to yourself. Go and watch the other Mummy films instead, any ones, it won't matter which.

And if she'd shouted 'Nick' one more time...
