Nowhere Special

Superb Northern Irish film based on true story

(Edit) 07/12/2021

Fantastic but heart breaking story based on true events. James Norton deserves to be nominated for awards and the child actor is unbelievable. If this doesn't tug on your heart strings there is no hope for you!

Pixie

Excellent Irish film

(Edit) 10/04/2021

Great story, great cast, great soundtrack and great scenery. This is Guy Ritchie meets Tarantino in a wonderful Irish gangster film.

A Rainy Day in New York

Great Woody Allen film

(Edit) 16/10/2020

If you like Woody Allen films, you will like this, the great man doesn't appear in it, but there is a strong cast and the story line is entertaining. The wife and myself really enjoyed it.Only fault I could find was that it was clearly sunny when they were trying to film the rainy scenes, every now and then bright sun light appears.

On Chesil Beach

Well acted beautifully filmed and good story

(Edit) 27/01/2019

I have disagree with the other reviews, we enjoyed this film, the story is well told on how the couple grew up and came to meet each other. Through out the film it is obvious that the girl isn't as loving as her husband to be and there will be problems ahead. remember this is set in an era when there was no sex education and most couples were still virgins before they wed. After the wedding the story follows the male life, up until 2007.

Shock and Awe

The truth about the IRAQI war and WMD

(Edit) 07/01/2019

Brilliant film that tells the lies being told about the lead up the invasion of IRAQ and the so called weapons of mass destruction that the country held. The film follows a newspaper and its journalists being a lone voice in raising concerns about the so called evidence coming out of the White House re Iraq. The film is very easy to follow with superb performances.
