Despite the subject, such a great disappointment.  Aidan Turner had no charisma.  We Will not watch future episodes

Ridley Scott's film, The Duelists, is probably my most favourite movie of all time.  I came to this film expecting such a lot.  I am also a medical historian.  I found the film far too long and too brutal.  The landscape in the Duellists is absolutely entrancing;  in the Last Duel, it is dark and foreboding.  There are some really silly characters such as The King and the Duke of Alencon.  A  totally wasted opportunity.

Truly excellent.  Juliet Aubrey is sublime.  I always thought that  Robert  Hardy was rather hammy but he is just right in this.  Some fine scenery too.  I look forward to later episodes.

Too long, too dark and totally unbelievable .  The hero must have taken nearly forty years before he returns to avenge his father.  His uncle has not aged a bit and his mother looks the same age as the hero !!  I ended fast forwarding through the interminable fights.

I looked forward to this but it was far too long and did the sun ever come out.  The acting was fine but it need a better screenplay and director.

My third dud film from Cinema Paradiso on the run.  I hope for better times in future 

Not hard as good as the book which explains the plot better.  The film was destroyed by the constant mumbling of Josh O'Connor.  So bad !

I have watched all the Bond films but I have never been bored before.  It was far too long.  The plot was more than far fetched and the island was a rip off of earlier Bond films.  The main actress had no charisma.  What a disappointment.  I am not sure that I want to see another Bond film now !!!

Looked forward to it but we gave up after a while.  Some of the  actors were incomprehensible.  It seemed too creepy for me.

Simply awful.  We gave up after the first section.  Glenn Close was fine but the actors playing the three sons were dire .  And one turned out to be Rafe Spall who now delivers fine performances.  The feasting scenes were laughable .  The scenery lacked credibility.   What a waste of effort; I am sorry that we bothered.  Quite the worst film we have had from Cinema Paradiso !!
