Synopsis:
With good looks and a great career, the irresistible Stefanie (Nikki Reed) takes what she wants in life and tosses everything and everyone else aside. So when a strange man attempts to speak to her while she's out in town, Stefanie pushes past him without a second thought, not noticing that until then his presence had been shadowing her every move. Now, Stefanie must realize that some actions have fearsome consequences, as she discovers the strange man is a dark force that will twist her perfect life into a spine-tingling nightmare. Trapped and terrified, Stefanie falls under the control of the stranger and the harder she fights, the deeper she falls.
But Stefanie soon learns that she and her captor have something in common and she must first battle her own demons if she is to have a chance of survival.

Awaken the Night - Awaken the Night review by CP Customer

I thought I'd write a review for this one as the description here is so very different from what the film turned out to be (the cover doesn’t even seem to be a scene from the film!) It seems hard to find it anywhere on IMDB or other movie sites so I hope this helps! DJ Qualls (Roadtrip) is a down on his luck fast food employee, William Sadler (Shawshank) is his small-town-bully of a boss and Nikki Reed(Twilight) is a girl who happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time (or right time maybe?). Most of the film takes place as a conversation between two of these characters in a motel room, as a situation unfolds that has them both contemplating their lives. The film is well acted by the three main players and you are kept wondering as to whether Qualls will or won’t snap as he reaches the end of his tether. Whilst there are some more light hearted moments (mostly down to the hapless Qualls and the over the top Sadler) I would not say this is a comedy, more a melodrama. Whoever wrote the description above seems to have watched a different film to me, see what you think!

I agree totally with the above review, the synopsis is so different from what the film actually is, the main character is DJ Qualls not Stephanie, the cover and the synopsis give a very different impression of the film. I am glad I watched it though, DJ Qualls is brilliant in the film, it was funny in parts and not the horror film I was expecting at all.
