The Courtship
Joe (Michael Landon) and Hoss (Dan Blocker) visit the widow of Ben's friend Josh Layton. Hoss falls in love with Helen Layton (Julie Adams) and brings her back to the Penderosa intent on marriage, but Adam (Pernell Roberts) begins to question her motives.
The Spitfire
Joe (Michael Landon) shoots an arsonist in self defence and then finds himself responsible for looking after the man's daughter. It is not long before the man's relatives begin looking for him and revenge.
