- England, 1900: young Reverend Henry Bull (Julian Glover) and his sister, Kitty (Jess Inchbald), are tasked with taking over the duties of their family home in Essex, a majestic Victorian mansion built on the site of an old monastery. Unaware of the sinister forces lurking within, and with their family threatened by terrifying paranormal activity, the pair launch an investigation into the origins of the ghosts which haunt their property.
