Synopsis:
All twelve episodes of the British teenage comedy drama about the running of a newspaper aimed at the younger reader.

1. Page One
The deadline of the "Junior Gazette"'s first edition is fast approaching and the search is on for a suitable "grabber" story for the front page. Is Lynda's story what it seems, and, if not, has Spike come up with a better one?
2. Photo Finish
The "Junior' Gazette" lead story has been chosen, but Lynda needs some more information on it before it can go to print. Or does she just want to get Spike out of the newsroom and out of her way? The first edition comes out and causes a local uproar, but, at the last minute, chance intervenes to save the day.
3. One Easy Lesson
Simon Knowles is the new teacher in school and is having a pretty hard time. Sarah thinks people would be nicer if they knew more about him, but why is she so concerned? Colin's latest entrepreneurial scheme goes off with a "ping"...
4. Deadline
How can anyone write next week's news before it happens? This is the dilemma facing the news team when a printer's strike means they will have to produce the following week's edition early, and in only three hours. Will Colin bridge the financial abyss and secure an advertisement with a picture when he doesn't even have the picture? And can a partying Sarah be persuaded back to the office in time?
5. A Night In
It's Saturday afternoon and Lynda is handing out "Yellows", giving people late duty. No one wants to stay and excuses abound. As the evening progresses, we learn why Lynda is in a really foul mood, why Tiddler is writing everything down and why Spike has a wok. And Colin? He keeps trying to get to an important meeting with the richest man in town, but oh, the obstacles...
6. Interface
Colin has found the ultimate prize-and the "Junior Gazette" news team enters the competition to win a computer, modem and printer. But what about the anonymous television reviews that start appearing at the office? Who is the "mystery writer"? Colin finds an angle, but it is up to Lynda and Spike to track down the reality behind the hype.
7. How to Make a Killing (Part 1)
Who is this girl and why does she draw chalk outlines on the pavement in front of the Highpoint Flats? Kenny thinks it could be a story and pursues it-or is it the girl he's pursuing? After some initial investigations, Kenny finds he's let himself in for more than he bargained-and will Billy's deviousness pay off?
8. How to Make a Killing (Part 2)
Kenny continues to pursue the story...and the girl. With his absence from the paper, Lynda has to find another assistant editor-but does it have to be Spike? Once Kenny figures out the mystery, the "Junior Gazette" starts its biggest ever campaign-undercover work included. And Colin? He tries once again to extricate himself from yet another disastrous scheme.
9. Both Sides of the Paper
Sarah's nightmares and Lynda's ambitions collide. Word is out about the "Junior Gazette", and Tony Nolan, "The Phone Ranger" is at the newsroom to do interviews, but exams are coming up and the pressure builds. The question is whether or not the paper can withstand the headmaster's demands to suspend publication.
10. Money, Love and Birdseed
How come the newsroom is full of pigeons and Colin's hiding under an umbrella? Mystery surrounds the disappearance of thirty pounds from the school judo club but Bobby Tweed protests his innocence. And love? Tiddler has a plan to get Spike and Lynda together but will it work?
11. Monday - Tuesday
Light and dark, joy and sorrow, comedy and tragedy-such can be the contrast between two days. The world looks one way on Monday, but quite another by Tuesday morning.
12. Shouldn't I Be Taller?
Colin reveals his ideas on how to run a newspaper-shorter hours and shorter words. He even proposes that stories should be no more than 12 sentences long. It's all part of his dirty tricks campaign to become editor. And it looks like it'll happen if Spike, desperate to find a shattered Lynda, can't convince her to return.
