A young man named Chen (Tony Liu) kills his opponent in a duel and promises his father that he will no longer use the martial arts of kung fu. His father throws him out of the house and Chen sets off on a journey through the lands. On the way, he is ambushed by a thief, whom he gradually befriends. When his new friend is killed in a duel, before he dies, he tells Chen to return to his village and tell his children that he has died. Chen fulfills his promise and at the same time wants to help his indebted family by participating in an upcoming fighting tournament. However, the Korean big boss Chin wants to get the money from the tournament, and he orders all the competitors to be shot.
