Based on a novel by Ursula Parrott, this steamy melodrama stars Norma Shearer as Jerry Martin, a carefree socialite who grows weary of her philandering husband, Ted. It's the hypocritical Ted who files for divorce, however, after Jerry retaliates with a fling of her own. Freed from her marital chains, Jerry attracts a host of men but considers reconciliation when she finds her new life incomplete.
