Wnen young Laura and her famiiy move to the city from their beloved country home, Laura feels lost, and it is difficult to make new friends. Until one magical night, when Laura sees a radiant star plummet from the sky in a swirl of twinkle dust, breaking one of its feet in the fall. Laura rescues the little star, nursing it back to health, and a fantastic friendship begins. In return, the star brings Laura's toys to life and takes her flying across the sky. But soon Laura realises the star is fading. It is homesick, just like she was. Now, baby brother Tommy, neighbour boy Max, and a super-cool flying robot kitty help Laura return the little star to the sky, and Laura realizes that home is wherever the people you love are.

This is just a wonderful film, with excellant animation and wordover in English .A magical and adventurous story that presses all the right buttons for children of all ages including the very young, and I have watched it about 7 times!A pity more isn't made of these lovely non- Disney films!
