The hunter and the wife (Paris Jefferson) are immediately attracted to each other. The husband (Keith Carradine), an arrogant genius whose career has faltered, becomes jealous of their rapport. Before they can begin the journey, the couple are lured away from the hunter by a diamond "pirate". The pirate shows the couple an unbelievably beautiful diamond and promises to find them one of equal value.
