I hired this film to compare it to the English Language version (which I enjoyed) and which had a traditional happy ending.

This was not the case with this, the original version. Bleak does not cover it.

The ending will haunt you for quite some time.

How can a gory horror film be so slow, it had zero suspense and apart from one very original murder, nothing at all to recommend it, absolute Rubbish I'm afraid!!!!!!!!!!!

I really enjoyed this film. I thought it was going to be a disposable cheapo film, but then I saw how long the film was and realised it was subtitled. It was epic and the actors, particularly the main 2 were excellent

The black and white photography was truly stunning. This is not a film for the MTV generation, it moves at a leisurely pace and is without dialogue.

I loved it - apart from the ending, which although thankfully was not graphic, left the viewer in no doubt what had taken place

I wonder if Emerald Fennell has seen this film as there are many similarities between this and Saltburn.

I usually like Wes Anderson's films, but this was just too quirky for its own good. Fantastic cast though
