Now I'm a big fan of Stephen King but must confess to not having read the Dark Tower series-I prefer his stand alone books.....maybe that helped as I loved this film and wouldn't have watched it based on some of these reviews!! Matthew McConaughey is a very realistic villain and Idris Elba shines as usual....the young lad in it also had a strong performance.....intriguing well structured plot, at 90 odd minutes just the right length, sets itself up perfectly for a sequel......I hope that becomes a reality! Watch and enjoy.......

First of all the Star Wars series that I didn't finish watching.....utter drivel, very disappointing.....got so bored 30 minutes in I stopped watching! Poor plotting......difficult to give it even one star

Terrible.....corny lines, dull action......switched off after 20 odd minutes.....I only do that if a film really grates which this did!

Loved it.......didn't see that ending coming!! Worthy of the excellent Saw series, strong performances and plot, couldn't fault it.......hope they make some more on the back of this as it's a series that deserves to run on further

A good, solidly plotted film with a great twist at the end.....what takes it from a 4 to a 5 star rating though is the performance of Chastain in the lead role-stunning! Worthy of an Oscar in my opinion....an all round enjoyable film.
