The 1950s was the decade of the creature feature. At the dawn of the Atomic Age, American cinemas were awash with marauding aliens from outer space, giant irradiated insects, robots on the rampage, monsters from the depths and dinosaurs rediscovered in the modern world. 'The Beast with a Million Eyes' and 'The Beast of Hollow Mountain' are two of the most entertaining films among them, presented together in the spirit of the science fiction double features of the 1950s.
The Beast with a Million Eyes (1955) Terror is about to surface! Prepare for a close encounter of the terrifying kind! Extra-terrestrial terror is keeping an eye out for human flesh in this horrifying tale of invasion! After a strange craft crash lands near a ranch home in the California desert, the rancher's family believes the danger has passed. But when they are attacked by animals driven into a rage by the alien force, they realise that something did survive the crash...and it's hoping to take in it's first meal on Earth...ranch-style!
The Beast of Hollow Mountain (1956) Amidst rumors that the eponymous mountain outside a small village in Mexico may be cursed as farmers and their cattle never return from it, American rancher Jimmy Ryan (Guy Madison) butts heads with the hard-headed Enrique (Eduardo Noriega) - (who believes that Jimmy is trying to steal away his fiance, Sarita (Patricia Medina), pals around with fellow rancher Pancho (Pascual García Peña) and his son Panchito (Mario Navarro), and attempts to solve the mystery of why people and animals who wander into Hollow Mountain never seem to return. He and his friends eventually discover that a Tyrannosaurus Rex lives, and havoc ensues.
