- In a small Mongolian tribe a young boy struggled to make his way in life. He was known as Temujin, his father had been murdered and his own future was precarious. In spire of the odds he grew up to be one of the most feared rulers of all time, Genghis Khan. Hailed as a military genius, Genghis Khan molded his destitute clan into a formidable army that would eventually conquer Asia. The empire he founded stretched from Persia to China. But despite his fearsome reputation Genghis Khan was a wise politician who riled his empire fairly and left a rich cultural heritage.
