When hunger struck the sinews of the rural heartland, the evil sultan (Shakti Kapoor) traded for a lifetime of commitment with an orphan, christened him Badshah (Akshay Kumar) and quested to conquer the world of urban crime. Survival hardened Badshah, now groomed into a criminal, with an enviable track record & a sworn inspector Pradhan (Ashish Vidyarthi) on his pursuit made things difficult for Badshah and his accomplice; sultan's nephew Abdul (Ashutosh Rana), in a life full of disillusionment. The only hope he had was Sapna (Karishma Kapoor) whom he met incidentally. But circumstances put him in a position where he committed a gruesome murder in public.
A shattered and isolated Badshah found a child whom he shunned away, but the child adamantly clanged on to him and Badshah, realizing that the child had high fever, was compelled to take him to Sapna. She saw him with the child and hurled a volley of accusations at him. Before he could explain himself, inspector Pradhan reached there and Badshah escaped. The conscience of a traumatized Badshah didn't permit him to leave the child alone in a world of exploiters where another Badshah would be created and he resolved to accept the child. He left his past behind and took a new name Babu Lohar to give the child a good future. But 7 years later his past caught up with him, with the re emergence of the Sultan and Abdul. He confronted them and warned them not to interfere in his life. Pradhan was still on his trail. For how long could he run away from reality? One day when Raju's (Aditya Kapadia) parents (Mohnish Behl & Shilpa Shetty) learnt of the reality they asked Babu to return their child to them. Will Babu return the anchor of his life? Will Raju leave his parents for Babu? The answers to all these questions lie in emotionally charged movie experience - Jaanwar.
