- Synopsis:
A family drama focused on three generations of women living together in Hartford, Connecticut. Amy Brenneman plays Amy Gray, who left New York City behind and now works as a family court judge. Karle Warren plays Lauren, Amy's daughter; Tyne Daly is Maxine, Amy's tough, opinionated mother...Amy precides over the case of a famous football player accused of rape; Maxine helps out a mother whose paranoid theories about the government start to affect her sons; Kyle interviews for a promotion at work and tries to convince the grandmother and mother of a brain-dead boy to donate a kidney to a dying girl... Amy hears the case of a boy who runs away from home hoping to join the circus as a gymnast; Maxine discovers that a foster girl lied about being sexually assaulted by a homeless man so she wouldn't get in trouble; Lauren's boyfriend, Victor winds up in the hospital after getting hit by a car... - Actors:
