This is an American version of a Japanese original which we saw last year and they have done a pretty good job with a few improvements and some changes that were not so good, (including the ending). Pretty entertaining but no need cover your eyes at any point.
Bland, generic MTV thriller which takes the best elements of The Ring and Final Destination and in 83 minutes makes a total hash of it.
The same special effects are utilised again and again, without any real purpose or style. Panic Room showed these good be an effective tool, but in the hands of this director the experience is lacking.
Not that I expected too much, but I was at least hoping for something on the same 'spooky' level as 'The Grudge' or 'The Ring' as it is based on an existing J-horror.
Unfortunately this film drastically failed. It has more of a 'I know what you did last summer' feel to it - very aimed at teenagers. The effects are poor and the story - though it has the potential to be quite interesting - fell apart like a piece of wet tissue.
