Jake Doyle (Allan Hawco) and his father Malachy (Sean McGinley) run a private investigations agency in St. John's, Newfoundland. Their cases involve them in all sorts of dealings - not all of them on the right side of the law...Jake and Mal investigate a hit-and-run and encounter a slippery criminal couple. Rose (Lynda Boyd) has a run-in with ghosts from her past. Des (Mark O'Brien) discovers that Tinny's trip to London didn't go as planned...Stuck in Her Majesty's Penitentiary, Jake's only chance of freedom lies in the capture of a wanted kidnapper. Mal and Rose investigate a case that hits close to home. Walter (Sean Panting) helps Kathleen (Krista Bridges) with a parenting matter... The Doyles struggle to prove Mal's innocence when he's accused of murder but end up digging themselves deeper. Kathleen gets some brotherly help with the George (Graham Abbey) situation.
