- John Thaw and Bob Hoskins - two of British television and film's best-loved figures - star in this 1970s sitcom about two low-rent criminals and their fraught domestic arrangements! 'Thick as Thieves' is created and written by the legendary team of Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais. Small-time house burglar George Dobbs (Bob Hoskins) is released from prison and arrives home to find that his best friend and fellow crook, Stan (John Thaw), has taken up residence with his wife Annie (Pat Ashton) while George was paying his debt to society. But Annie has affections for both men and a reluctant agreement is reached as a delicate ménage-à-trois develops!
