Jane Wyman stars in 'Three Guys Named Mike', a charming romantic comedy in which she has to choose from three suitors called Mike! Jane Wyman brings her considerable charms to the role of Marcy Lewis, a pretty but accident-prone airhostess who has three potential suitors, in Three Guys Named Mike. Van Johnson plays the role of Mike Lawrence, a science student who is also working on the side as a bartender, who has romantic inclinations for Marcy. However Mike faces competition from two other Mikes Mike Tracy (played by Barry Sullivan) in the role of a wheeler-dealer advertising executive, and then there's Mike Jamieson (Howard Keel), a very handsome airline pilot who is also vying for Marcy's romantic attentions! As Marcy's confidence in her job increases, so her views about men change... which Mike will she finally choose? Romcom - Three Guys Named Mike review by SC
This is a typical romcom from the postwar period, starring Jane Wyman as airsteward Marcy, always trying to do the right thing and usually getting it wrong. Light and fluffy and none the worse for that.
Be advised, the copying of this disc is not great, the sound sometimes unclear and no subtitles to help.
