The second part of Series 4 Upstairs Downstairs collection describes the harrowing effect of the First World War from 1916 – 1918. The tragedy of war is brought home to 165 Eaton Place affecting both upstairs and downstairs family members. The servants try to comfort a grieving Rose whose fiancé has been killed in battle.
