Equatorial Africa still a wild untamed territory in the 1950's provides John Baxter (Giuliano Gemma) with a challenge to make his fortune before returning home to Detroit and a service station of his dreams, With his close companion Biba, a more than intelligent chimp, he buys and sells almost anything to the natives from his truck 'Africa Express'.
But during his travels, he encounters disguised spy Madeleine Cooper (Ursula Andress), who is running from crazed hunter Robert Preston (Jack Palance). Now his simple existence as a trader is changed as he helps Madeleine in her escape, encountering danger and action at every turn.
