Unhinged

Gratuitously violent

What a dreadful film. Really nothing to recommend it. No reasonable story line. Just dreadful. Nothing more to add!

BlacKkKlansman

Brilliant

An excellent film and astonishingly current, unfortunately. Based on an incredible true story it is extremely depressing in that not a lot has changed, especially in the USA. But the acting was great - we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Greed

Entertaining on a low level

Obviously about the repugnant Philip Green. It was just a rather empty film. Really enjoy Steve Coogan - so nothing to do with him - just didn't enjoy it! And the CG lion at the end was really unconvincing. Can't give it more than 2 stars.

The Snowman

Disjointed

(Edit) 17/07/2018

Loved the book. What did they do to the film? Really unsubstantial - didn't get a feeling for the characters, except perhaps for Fassbender. Katrine Bratt didn't die in the book I'm pretty sure. Dreadful. Very disappointed.

Film Stars Don't Die in Liverpool

Really enjoyed

It was a great little film. Very nice to see Jamie Bell in a good role and Annette Bening was as good as ever. Interesting too - never knew about the story.

Remember

A good twist

(Edit) 14/02/2018

We quite enjoyed this film. We don't mind 'slow'. I thought it was cleverly done and had quite a surprising twist at the end. The dementia was believable and very well acted.
