Rent Girls Just Want to Have Fun (1985)

Janey Glenn (Sarah Jessica Parker), a transfer student, is a nervous wreck as she is introduced to her giggling classmates by the stern Sister Katherine, who encourages her to "tell us something about yourself". "Well", Janey begins, "I like listening to music... doing gymnastics and... (large smile) I love to dance!" The word ripples through the classrooms until he reaches the ears of Lynne Stone (Helen Hunt). Later that afternoon, Janey and Lynne meet on the school bus and an instant friendship is born.
