Olivia (Nina Pons), an aspiring fashion designer from the picturesque and close knit region of Basilicata in Italy, arrives in London ready to fulfill one of her greatest aspirations: to learn from a master designer at a renowned fashion school. Blending the skills passed down to her from her father, a third-generation tailor, with the encouragement and inspiration from legendary fashion designer turned Professor, Nina Clarke (Melanie Liburd), Olivia searches for her own voice as an artist. After a disastrous event on the streets of London, both, student and professor, turn to each other to overcome the trauma they shared, but soon their feelings become romantic. While Olivia is overtaken by the unknown intensity of the closeness developing between them, Nina refuses to yield, choosing instead to protect the ethical boundaries between tutor and student. Olivia's voice grows, under the wise guidance of Nina, into an inspiring artist creating gender fluid, sustainable clothing. Through their collaboration, and the bond of their shared passion, Nina slowly surrenders to the intensity of her feelings for Olivia. But just as a happy ending seems in reach, fate has a surprise in store. Family matters force Olivia to leave the fashion school to return to Italy. When Nina shows up in Italy offering more than just tutoring, Olivia's family grapples with accepting their daughter's newfound sexuality, identity and independence.
