- Synopsis:
- Around 1925, Mario (Gabriele Tinti), a young Florentine printer, to be closer to his girlfriend, Bianca (Eva Vanicek), goes to live in the short horn of the Horn and makes a friendship with the maniscal "Maciste", his landlord, and with the fruit grower Ugo (Marcello Mastroianni), all two anti-fascists. It happens that Alfredo Campolmi (Giuliano Montaldo), owner of a pizzicheria, refusing to make certain contributions to the party, is wildly beaten by the fascists...
