Co-written by and starring Steven Baio (brother of 'Happy Days' legend Scott Baio), 'Evil Laugh' is a rarely seen splatter-fest which arrived right at the end of the slasher boom but thanks to a tight script, ensured that this horror sub-genre went out on a gory high! A group of Med students decide to renovate an old foster home where, 10 years ago, an unspeakable crime occurred, something which has haunted the local community ever since. As the young dudes get to work, a silent, masked murderer decides to reward their good deeds with swift, violent death! With everything you'd want from a mid-80s horror picture, 'Evil Laugh' has the added touch of self-awareness complete with an eccentric score, a range of bizarre and inventive deaths (you've got to see the microwave incident) and even dance routines!
