- Synopsis:
- Director David Cronenberg ventures into the realms of science fiction in 'Scanners' - a horrifying story of the supernatural. The action centres around a group of psychics known as "scanners" whoare capable of reading people's minds. Whilst this power could be used for the good of mankind these telepathic misfits also have the uncanny ability to lock into the human nervous system causing their unfortunate victims' heads to explode. When doctorssucceed in recruiting a good "scanner" to go in search of a one who is abusing his powers, the scene is set for a truly mind-blowing experience.

Head exploding fun - Scanners review by CP Customer
From the first scene I loved every minute of this. Classic Sci-Fi Horror. Gory, funny, imaginative stuff with some of the best faces ever pulled in modern cinema. You wont be dissapointed

Mind over matter... and a lot of exploding heads - Scanners review by griggs
Scanners isn't winning any awards for acting, but that's hardly the point. It's fast, gory, and weirdly charming in its chaos. Cronenberg brings enough madness to paper over the cracks, and the effects still hit hard. It's not perfect, but honestly, it's impossible to look away — and not just because someone's head might explode.
