In the large industrial part of an Italian city - sailors, women, black market traffickers, sleazy nightclubs and dingy narrow alleys make up a world of danger, where a young American girl vanishes without a trace while an Italian man tries to track her down. On the way he encounters the strangest of characters: a beautiful and ambitious prostitute, a girl ravaged by drugs and the ferocious Joe Narescu (Franco Columbu) who is battling against a rival gang so that he can gain control of the port. Through all these trials and tribulations a touching love story blossoms between our hero and a gorgeous woman whose life has been hardened by the streets of the port. During these nerve-wracking, unexpected turn of evens his quest of the truth prevails - despite the bloody encounters with rival gangs, fights and murders. Love binds the two protagonists in the face of all the seemingly insurmountable difficulties and enables them to overcome the shadows from the past that haunt her. Together they will be able to face the tragic truth surrounding the circumstances of the young American girl's disappearance. Meanwhile back at the port, the situation is deteriorating rapidly while the tension between the rival gangs has come to a head. In the last conflict during the long night along the waterfront the situation explodes into a climax of blood and flames. Only love will overcome the bitterness and the fear... - Actors:
