Considering the acting talent and the historical background, this was nothing more than a middling film.

The first hour was really good, and Miss Sloane was a powerful presence. However much like the film, the lead character lost her bite towards the end.

I remember it got a bit of a mauling when it came out at the cinemas.

However that seems a bit harsh. Its not going to win many awards. However it was a fun magical throwback. I enjoyed it.

Strange film which didn't really go anywhere, maybe there was a deep meaning behind it all. However I must have missed it.

I wish they went into more of the history on the island. Apart from that it was ok, and it was good to see that they didn't particularly have any super powers. If the film was better I presume they were teeing up a sequel involving the brotherhood???

A military/government is bad, humans are good vibe. Plays out well against the backdrop of modern day tensions and mistrust of authority.

I should have really like this film, its down my usual street. However after an hour I found myself bored and I struggled to get to the end of the film.
