Based on the successful 2008 novel by Greg Kincaid, this heart-warming TV movie is destined to become a seasonal holiday classic. It tells the story of George McCray, (Bruce Greenwood), who refuses to buy a dog for his special needs son, Todd, (Noel Fisher), fearing that he would not be able to care for it. 20 year-old Todd is known for his love of animals, and the family's Kansas farm seems the perfect home for pets, but George is adamant: "This is no place for a dog. They are just a distraction". However, thanks to a helpful word from his mother, Mary Ann, (Linda Emond), Todd's persistence pays off. The McCrays foster an adorable golden Labrador through the local animal shelter. Due to the time of year they decide to call him Christmas, but will he become a permanent member of the family? - Actors:
