Summer of 1960. In Paris, Michel (Jean-Claude Aimini) works as a cableman on a TV set - a demanding job, but a great way to pick up girls. This is how he meets Juliette (Stefania Sabatini) and Liliane (Yveline Cery), who swear not to let any man interfere with their friendship. His military service in war-torn Algeria looming on the horizon, Michel decides to take a holiday in Corsica, where the two best friends soon join him for some lighthearted fun. But under the blazing sun, and with the ticking clock of Michel's departure, emotions run high and hearts are more easily broken. Capturing both the giddy thrill of innocent flirtation and the anguish of a youth faced with an uncertain future, 'Adieu Philippine' was championed by Rozier's contemporaries Frangois Truffaut and Jean-Luc Godard.
