Hansel and Gretel Hansel and Gretel journey far form home in search of food. As they wander about, looking for their way home they come upon a house made completely of good things to eat. They soon realise that the 'kind' owner is fattening them up for their next meal! Little Red Riding Hood Instructed by her mother to deliver a basket of food to her ailing grandmother, Red begins her journey and meets a Woodcutter who cautions her about a Big Bad Wolf that lurks in the woods but the Wolf has already spied Red and plans to have her for his dinner. The Golden Goose Hans pleads with his parents to let him chop wood for the family, but they send their elder son Franz instead, who sets out with a basket of cakes and cider. On the road he meets a hobo who asks if he might spare a few crumbs but Franz selfishly refuses. He falls into a dream and when he wakes up he returns with no firewood for the family. At this turn of events Hans is allowed to try his hand at chopping wood and comes across the same hobo with quite different results. Snow White and Rose Red Snow White and Rose Red live with their widowed mother in the forest. One day in the woods they come upon an injured man, who is actually a prince in search of his brother. The sisters help him and he is touched by their kindness. When they come upon an evil gnome they call for help. A bear and the Prince arrive and help vanquish the little rascal whereupon an evil spell is broken. Beauty and the Beast In trying to grant his daughter's wish, a father is caught stealing a rose from an evil castle. The Beast who occupies the castle demands either the father's life of the hand of his daughter in marriage. The young woman agrees to marry the beast. She eventually comes to see the Beast as a gentle soul and grows to love him.
