Synopsis:
In the aftermath of World War Two, former Air Force colonel Mike Dandridge (Jeff Chandler) launches a lucrative air-ferry service with wartime pal Al Reynolds (Richard Denning). With business booming, Mike hires the gifted and gorgeous Maggie Colby (Lana Turner) as his lead pilot. Together, Mike and Maggie take to the skies and travel the world. In each new city they hit - London, Madrid, Paris, Japan - sparks fly, and the pair find themselves deeper and deeper in what promises to be a fun-filled, one-of-a-kind romance.
But as the stakes are raised for Mike and Maggie - both in their lives at home and in the air - the duo discovers that the lifestyle they've grown to love might be too difficult to sustain.

Not what I'd call 'a Lana Turner movie' - The Lady Takes a Flyer review by JK

Spoiler Alert

Think this must have been written for someone else who became unavailable and Lana was given the part. She does her best and manages at least three different expressions but is clearly not comfortable. As it was the only one of Lana's 1950s films I ghadn't seen it was very disappointing however its very nice to know that Doris Day and Karen Black aren't the only actresses who can land a plane !
