- Synopsis:
- When a group of scientists arrive on a remote island to search for a previous expedition that mysteriously disappeared, they simply plan to continue research on radiation from nuclear tests. The effects of the radiation soon become all too obvious when the group are attacked by giant mutated crabs that have gained intelligence by absorbing the minds of their victims. Faced with an almost indestructible foe it is down to the scientists to stop the crabs before they reproduced and invade the oceans of the world. With the island crumbling beneath them, how long can they have before it's too late?

Where is the almost-naked blonde about to be torn limb from limb? This is a terrible film. The "Science" is ludicrous, two minor characters simply disappear without comment or explanation, the ending is ridiculously perfunctory. Even during the less-critical days of "B" pictures, it is impossible to believe that anyone involved took is seriously. Oh, and the leading man died of drink a few years later. Why was this relic ever put out on DVD
