September 11th 2001. 8.42a.m. By the time United Flight 93 leaves Newark Airport, three planes have already been hijacked and are closing in on their targets. Minutes later two of the jets slam into the twin towers of New York's World Trade Centre. As the devastating news reaches the passengers and crew on board Flight 93, they realise they too are in the hands of hijackers on a deadly mission of their own. This is the true story of that fateful 90-minute flight and the heroic action, taken in the air and on the ground, to stop the terrorists turning Flight 93 into a guided missile...
Good story, films a bit slow at the starting but a good film on the whole.

A superb film. I wasn't sure if I would like it in case it was cheesy American hero worship, but it wasn't like that at all. The film goes from Air Traffic Control, where they can't quite get their heads around the enormity of what is happening, to events in the air on board flight 93. The result is a humanistic and sympathetic look at what might have actually happened. It was very moving and, of course, shocking (even though you know what happened).
