Scientific whizkid Ken Wilberforce thought a robot would be a help around the house, so he built Metal Mickey- But someone interferes - and deep within Mickey's electronic innards, something stirs... Written by Colin Bostock-Smith (Alas Smith and Jones-i As Time Goes By) and directed by Michael Dolenz (The Monkees) n Metal Hickey was a huge success on children's television in the early 1980s, running for four series over three years- With Mickey's well-meaning buffoonery and tendency to wreak havoc at the drop of a hat, it's no wonder this series has a cult following to this day.
