Synopsis:
"The Lucy Show" went into rehearsals on July 12, 1962, five years after "I Love Lucy" stopped production. The show had several formats during its 6 year run. The four great episodes are from 1965 in which Lucille Ball plays Lucy Carmichael, secretary to Theodore J. Mooney, (Gale Gordon), Vice President of the Westland Bank. Lucy has the uncanny ability to find herself in ridiculous and highly unlikely situations that makes for winning visual comedy. Carmichael-created chaos causes Mr Mooney endless distress creating one of television's most memorable friendly feuds. "The Lucy Show" debuted on television on October 1, 1962 and was immediately embraced by the public.
Here are four fantastic episodes of this well loved show.

Lucy and Paul Winchell
Ventriloquist Paul Winchell comes into the bank and opens an account with Lucy (Lucille Ball). When Mr. Mooney (Gale Gordon) fails to find a celebrity for an upcoming benefit for the bank, Lucy suggests that Mr. Winchell appear. But a mishap causes Lucy to have to stand in as the ventriloquist's dummy on the night of the show.
Lucy and the Ring-a-Ding-Ding
Mr. Mooney (Gale Gordon) has a $6,000 ring delivered, which is an anniversary present for his wife. Lucy (Lucille Ball) wants the thrill of having such an expensive rock on her finger for a brief moment, and Mooney obliges, only to find that the ring won't come off. Lucy reveals that she "has a condition" that causes her fingers to swell when she becomes nervous, so she takes some relaxing pills that the doctor prescribed her with disastrous consequences.
Lucy Gets a Roommate
Lucy (Lucille Ball) advertises for a roommate to help with the expenses, and finally decides on Carol Bradford (Carol Burnet), a frumpy off-kilter librarian. Carol soon starts taking over the apartment so Lucy decides to have a small party to introduce her to some boys. It isn't long before usually mild-mannered Carol becomes out of control!
Lucy and Carol in Palm Springs
Lucy (Lucille Ball) fakes sick so she can get out of work and accompany Carol (Carol Burnett), who's going to entertain at a golf tournament in Palm Springs. When they arrive, the hotel staff realizes that there are two women rooming together, so Lucy finds herself having to partake in the show.
