"The Sandman" returns for its second and final season as Dream/Morpheus (Tom Sturridge) embarks on one more phantasmagorical journey. At the end of last season, Dream uncreated the rogue nightmare, The Corinthian, and destroyed the Dream Vortex that threatened to consume his kingdom and our universe. Meanwhile, in Hell, Lucifer (Gwendoline Christie) and Mazikeen (Cassie Clare) plot their revenge against Dream for having publicly embarrassed them. Finally, Dream came to the aid of his estranged wife, the muse Calliope (Melissanthi Mahut), with whom he had fallen out over the fate of their son, Orpheus (Ruairi O'Connor). After a fateful reunion with his family, the final season finds Dream faced with one impossible decision after another as he attempts to save himself, his kingdom, and the waking world from the epic fallout of his past misdeeds. To make amends, Dream must confront longtime friends and foes, gods, monsters, and mortals. But the path to forgiveness is full of unexpected twists and turns, and true absolution may cost Dream everything.
