A selection of Zoltan Huszarik's renowned short works including the graduation film 'Groteszk' (1963) and his professional directing debut, 'Elegia' (1965). Tracing the evolution of man's relationship with the horse in all its beauty and brutality, Elegia emerges as a powerful portrait of one of the most photogenic of all living creatures. This experimental film poem introduced a distinctive new language into Hungarian cinema, an approach Huszarik continued to develop with his lyrical short works and vividly poetic feature films throughout the 1970s.
