Ten years after a solar flare wiped out technology across the globe, maverick ex-soldier Jake (Dave Bautista) navigates a dangerous new world of warlords and bandits, working as a treasure hunter recovering valuable objects from the old world for powerful clients. Self-appointed 'King' Valentine (Samuel L. Jackson) recruits him for a treacherous mission: to retrieve the Mona Lisa, discovered in the perilous badlands, once known as France. Jake reluctantly takes the job and teams up with Drea (Olga Kurylenko), a local freedom fighter, whose main agenda is to rid her people of an unhinged ruler, Volkov (Kristofer Hivju). As enemies close in from all sides and Volkov's murderous intentions are revealed, Jake discovers his mission could determine the fate of the new world. - Actors:
