Synopsis:
A daily meeting place for rebellious teenagers, the arches of the overhead railway at Schoenhauser station give some relief from their parents and daily life in the Soviet Sector of Berlin. Pranks and daredevil games are the order of the day - a method by which they can escape from their drab lives, if even for a little while. Dieter (Ekkehard Schall) the builder is looking for a sort of freedom, Kohle (Ernst-Georg Schwill) wants to get away from his drunkard father, Karl-Heinz (Harry Engel) is already a petty criminal dealing on the black-market and Angela (Ilse Pagé) has to make room at home when her mother's friend calls round.
In an effort to escape once and for all, Karl-Heinz tries to involve Dieter and Kohle in one of his dubious deals and after an apparently fatal assault, the two flee to West Berlin only to find that life in the Allied sector is just as dangerous...
