Synopsis:
Small-town Icelandic singer-songwriter Lars Erickssong (Will Ferrell) wants to win Eurovision so that his macho dad Erick (Pierce Brosnan) will respect him. Unfortunately his band Fire Saga are a chain of two and Lars is the weak link. His shy and adoring singing partner, Sigrit (Rachel McAdams) is beautiful, can carry a tune and has elves on her side. When fate throws them into the spotlight, it's Sigrit who gets most of the attention, whether from the commentators (Graham Norton, as himself) or wealthy popinjay Alexander Lemtov (Dan Stevens), Russia's entry and favourite to win the contest with his loin-thrusting ditty 'Lion of Love'.

Not funny - Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga review by cr

I think will ferrell is a bit hit and miss for me. He was ok in anchorman but dont find elf funny and this is a slog to.

The whole gag here is iceland putting in two eccentrics (will and rachel) into the eurovision song contest where cheesey songs and hilarity will ensue.

Nah.

Its nearly 2 hours long for a start and where rachel and will do their best its like floggin a dead horse.

Very few laughs in this one and they even tried to make rachel look less attractive!

Not recommended.
