- After the grisly death of the gold prospector Charlotte Burnell (Shirley Jones) in the Californian desert, arch rivals Donnie Daniels (Andre Ware) and Doug McCoy (Steve Hedden) arrive in town to each stake a claim to her legacy. What they discover is an atmosphere of fear and hatred created by a string of mysterious mutilations of which Charlotte is only one. To their astonishment Donnie and Doug discover that they are twin brothers. A secret kept by a mother that neither of them knew. But the desert has it's own secrets to unleash...
