Portrait of a Killer
This episode features the disappearance of freelance photographer Michelle Wallace from Gunnison, Colorado in 1974 whose body was not found for five years. Investigators had a suspect but were unable to link Wallace to her suspected killer. It was not until 10 years later that the murderer was finally convicted.
The Tortured Truth
This episode of Cold Case Files examines the disturbing case of Joe Clark, a troubled youth with a penchant for torture. In 1995, he abducted 13 year old Thad Philips, took him home, and broke his ankles, legs and knees. But after 43 hours, he made the mistake of leaving Thad alone, enabling the injured boy to be able to call the police.
