"Taggart star John Michie presents a chilling investigation into the ark underworld of one of Western Europe's most lethal cities - Glasgow. In this one-off exclusive documentary, he uncovers the real story behind two of the worst crimes committed in'Glasgow's history: the mass murder of the Doyle family during the city's "ice cream" wars, and the gangland assassination of the infamous Arthur Thompson Jnr - son of Glasgow's Godfather" - which brought about the trial of underworld figure Paul Ferris. Both crimes led to the biggest trials Scotland had ever seen and both became mired in controversy and scandal. The "Murder Capital" team talk to those involved and find out the real motives behind the crimes, using news footage, dramatic reconstructions id interviews with police and crime experts.
