- Movie star Michael (Louis Koo) sinks into a depression after being publicly dumped at the altar. He is found lost in a mountain forest by Sau (Sammi Cheng), who runs the local guesthouse and is herself grieving the loss of her husband, who disappeared several years ago. As Sue nurses Michael back to health, the pair explore their shared pasts in one of Johnnie To's most enduring romances, a powerful and moving mediation on grief, loss and the power of cinema itself.
