- Synopsis:
Two small town deputies, Booth Park (Kyle MacLachlan) and Earl Whitney (Wade Williams) come across the site of a shoot-out on desolate Route 9. What they discover at the scene will change the course of their lives forever. $1,000,000 in cash, a van full of drugs and not a witness in sight. Earl is eager to embark on a new life of luxury and Booth dreams of running away with his lover, Sally (Amy Locane). Walking away with the cash seems like the easiest money the guys will ever make, and the answer to all their prayers - but things are never that simple. As suspicions mount, the deputies find themselves at the centre of a Federal investigation headed by the DEA, and the local sheriff Wayne Hogen (Peter Coyote). As the cover up begins to unravel and the investigators begin to piece together the clues, the partners realize that the time for their escape is running out.
