The Monkey Maker killer has turned Seattle into a city of fear - seeing, hearing and speaking evil at every twist and turn. Six victims have had their eyes plucked out six more have had their ears cut off and the last four have had their tongues removed. On the street, Detective Jim Renart and partner Dorothy Smith scour the city for clues while their boss tries to keep the Feds off their back. Renart and Smith investigate the latest victim and the guy who found her, Tom Turner - a wealthy stock trader with an unlimited ego, compelled to risk everything in search of the ultimate thrill.
As this gripping game of cat-and-mouse unfolds, the terror turns personal as Turner threatens Renart's pregnant wife Sarah. In a stunning climax the two converge in a bloody shootout and a shocking conclusion to Turner's twisted odyssey.
